What is Jump?

A no table required TTRPG. Play in the shower! It's light on rules, quick play-sessions, one-shot focused, and free. Explore the Jumpverse as you set off to capture anomalies, dabble in wild-life conservation, escape a time-loop, and whatever weirdness the multiverse throws at you.

Why is Jump?

Jump's core engine uses a modded version of Wanna Play Right Now ? by Clément Domergue. A Rock-Paper-Scissors resolution system that's very easy to learn. The game is currently in Open Beta and in this version it will contain:

  • Da Rules.
  • 4 adventures to jump right into (full game will contain 10).
  • A careers page containing 14 jobs.
  • High probability of you and your friends having fun.
  • 39 pages of words and pretty pictures.
  • 50% chance of something be broken and needing to be rewrote or changed

the canon event example confuses me. it says you can turn a loss into a win, but the first described occurence is still a loss.

other friend wants to climb the rope, and burns a canon event to successfully do so, the problem they gain being that... they can't climb the rope. if a tie for best friend means getting to the top, I don't understand why a win means not being able to climb up, even with a problem.

it's really throwing me off.

I can definitely clarify that more. The initial intent was they were able to climb the rope but the problem was not the entire way up. I'll put a better example for the next iteration!

Edit: Current example I have to help clarify things that will be released in the next version...
"You manage to climb the rope but only get about half-way. There is a clump of black fluid that has shackled your feet together."

what I don't get there is that a tie resulted in climbing the rope, entirely, to the top, but a "win" triggered by a canon event means not getting to the top.

The intent was for the other friend to begin climbing the rope. Not for them to climb to the top. I'll just rewrite this to be a better example.
